Access denied for user
- Error message
- Access denied for user: 'xxx@localhost' (Using password: YES)
- This error is caused by incorrect password setting.
Check the actual settings of the ZM username and password in zm.conf. (You may have to search for this. Try /usr/local/etc/zm.conf or /etc/zm.conf, depending on your system.) The username and password are set at the bottom of the file.
Then test this username and password in mysql from the terminal window (replace 'zmuser' with the username:
mysql zm -u zmuser -p
When prompted, enter the ZM password. You should get a welcome message from the mysql monitor.
If the password doesn't work you need to figure out what password you set and edit the zm.conf file to use this. (Supervisor rights required.)
'Quit' to leave mysql.
